Synagis & RSV Injections

Synagis Clinics Locations Map Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a virus which is easily spread. Almost all children are exposed to RSV by the time they turn 2 years old. For premature babies and babies with significant heart disease, RSV can be very serious.

Synagis injections are recommended for premature and low birth weight infants to help prevent RSV infection. Synagis is also recommended for infants less than 2 years of age with hemodynamically significant cyanotic and acyanotic congenital heart disease and chronic lung disease. The shot is given monthly, and the first dose is usually given before the season begins. In the Southern region, the season runs from approximately November to March.

Patients receive injections at our Dallas Medical City.

Our qualified Synagis staff handles the prior authorization, letters of medical necessity and insurance verification on Synagis patients who are referred to our office.
