Dr. Pravin Sah

Dr. Pravin Sah obtained his medical degree from the B.P.Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in 2004. He received several awards in medical school for his academic performance. After graduating, he worked in general pediatrics for sometime before moving to US (Philadelphia) in 2006 to complete a Pediatric residency at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, affiliated to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Then, his passion for the lung diseases of children led him to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. After completing his fellowship he moved to Dallas and joined our practice in August of 2012 and became a partner in 2016. He was board certified in General Pediatrics in 2009 and in Pediatric Pulmonology in 2012.

Dr. Sah loves all aspects of breathing disorders seen in children, from newborn to young adult, but has special interest in asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity (BPD), long-term mechanical ventilation, and bronchoscopy. During his fellowship he did a clinical research in asthma and obesity, trying to unravel the complexity of the relationship between these two; and then presented his abstract at the American Thoracic Society meeting held in San Francisco in 2012, for which he also received an award. His work was later published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (JACI) in 2013. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, American Medical Association and American Thoracic Society.

Dr. Sah lives in a northern suburb of Dallas with his wife Kamini and two daughters Aishani and Prajna. He was born in Nepal, a beautiful country in the Himalayas. He first got inspired to go into medicine by his father, who is a general pediatrician. He likes traveling, hiking, listening to South Asian music, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Nepali.

Dr. Sah has been nominated as a "Mom-Approved" doctor by Dallas Child magazine and recognized as a Top Pediatric Specialist by D Magazine!
